Harmony Hall is the local performing arts center for Ōtawara and Nasushiobara and concerts and theater performances are held here regularly.  I tried to find its history, but nothing pops up on Google, but I’ll add to this if I find more.


It is a few hundred meters from my house.  One of my friends was performing and he got me a ticket, so I went along for the performance.   It was fabulous and I really enjoyed myself.


As you can see from the pictures it has an unusual design and it is surrounded by water features that reflect the design.  All in all its an interesting building.  At Christmas time they take the opportunity to cover it in lights of a somewhat musical and slightly Christmassy nature.
